The Global Race to Zero Summit
The Summit will include political, business, community and climate action leaders from across Australia and the world
The Global Race to Zero Summit will be delivered in partnership with the UN’s Race to Zero Campaign and will be supported by the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation. The event will be similar in format to last year’s hugely successful Global Smart Energy Summit, which attracted almost 7,000 registrations from over 60 countries, but it will be bigger and better. We’re aiming for more than 10,000 registrations and we want to have an impact on the climate and energy debate in Australia and overseas.
The event will deliberately be held just 10 days before the G20 meeting in Rome and in the lead up to the critical COP26 meeting in Glasgow.
The Summit will particularly focus on the economic and employment opportunities from electrifying everything with renewables and using renewable hydrogen and ammonia for everything else. As Saul Griffith says, electrification is the vaccination for climate change and we need to go hard and go early.
