Sydney Mining Club Lunchtime Forum
An Industry Under Attack | Regis Resources Presents Alongside Polar X
At 12.15pm on the 3rd of October at The Ivy, the Sydney Mining Club will host the CEO and Managing Director of Regis Resources, Jim Beyer; and Managing Director of Polar X, Jason Berton.
SPEAKERS:
Jim Beyer
CEO & Managing Director
Regis Resources (ASX: RRL)
Regis Resources has grown from humble beginnings to become one of Australia’s leading, unhedged, mid-tier gold producers listed on the ASX. Regis’ assets lie within two distinct project areas, its Duketon and Tropicana operational mines are located in the North Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia and the McPhillamys Project is located in the Central Western region of New South Wales.
Following the recent media attention generated by the Federal Government’s controversial decision to override local and state planning approvals processes and disallow development of the McPhillamy’s operation near Orange in NSW, the Sydney Mining Club is proud to announce Regis CEO and Managing Director Jim Beyer as the keynote speaker for their lunch event next month.
Jim will discuss the impact the Federal Government’s decision has had on Regis’ operations, the challenges facing the sector, and what it means to continue to build a profitable and sustainable mid-tier gold company.
Jason Berton
Managing Director
Polar X (ASX: PXX)
Polar X Limited is a copper explorer centred in Alaska. At its Caribou Project, it has a high grade copper and a JORC resource of 7.2Mt @ 3.1% Cu + 6.5g/t Ag including a remarkable 19.1m @ 7.0 %Cu + 11.2 g/t Ag and 9.8m @ 6.8 %Cu + 7.8 g/t Ag.
Its early days and the Caribou project is underexplored, with extended depth potential and mineralisation many in all dimensions.
The Project is attracting the attention of the big players, with Northern Star now a major shareholder and a heavy backer of the company’s exploration efforts.
Polar X has a second project in Alaska with a resource of 4.0Mt @ 1.1% Cu + 1.6g/t Au + 12.6g/t Ag. It’s also exploring in Nevada and has identified several assays well over 10g/t gold at Humboldt Range.
