Large scale solar and wind projects have almost ground to a halt.
The sector is facing a perfect storm of:
- No national targets to grow renewables, no national energy policy and no national climate policy
- Operators turning down or turning off renewable generators
- Backwards looking connection rules
- No plan to build transmission ahead of additional renewables
There are serious issues at not just the federal level, but also in specific states such as Victoria and Queensland.
Is it time for to go to war on these issues?
