METS Opportunities in Southeast Asia
This webinar will explore the key findings of Austmine's 2024 report 'METS Opportunities in Southeast Asia'

The Australian Government’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040 identifies significant opportunities to drive two-way trade and investment and strengthen social and political relations in the region. Mineral resources and the METS sector have been identified as priority areas, recognising the potential of Australia’s commodities and mining technologies in supporting economic development and energy security in Southeast Asia.
To understand the future opportunities and potential challenges for METS companies in Southeast Asia, Austmine delivered a report in 2024, supported by Austrade. This webinar will explore the key findings of this report, including:
- An analysis of primary and emerging mining markets in Southeast Asia, such as Indonesia, The Philippines and Vietnam.
- Understanding the key mining organisations, major projects, industry development opportunities and challenges, and areas of significant competitive advantage for Australian METS companies in Southeast Asia.
- An overview of the future program of activities for the METS sector being delivered as part of the Australian Government’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040.
