The Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC) has released its final determination on implementing a Wholesale Demand Response Mechanism (WDRM), that will start operating on 24 October 2021.

This reform will help support the development of more demand response capacity in the National Electricity Market (NEM), which will help to ensure that Australia has enough capacity to meet supply requirements during periods of peak demand or when generators or interconnectors aren’t functioning.

Developed exclusively for the Energy Efficiency Council, there is no better time to undertake this masterclass and discover how demand response is working successfully all over the world and has the potential to effect significant change in the Australian energy market.

Delivered in an online classroom over two half-days, this course enables us to provide attendees with a timely update on the business opportunities opened up by the proposed wholesale demand response rule change, and to invite local and international subject matter exerts to talk to the class out their DR experience, and to inform the class of lessons learned for the future trajectory of demand response here in Australia.
