Dr Mark Apthorpe, Lecturer in Management & International Business at the University of Newcastle, will provide a presentation on how the megatrend of climate change impact on business has been accelerated by the impacts of COVID-19 and changing world geo-politics. These megatrends will impact most businesses but will also provide significant opportunities. Mark will explore how the world is turning green and the world will spend its way out of COVID and how the combination of these will provide benefits to those firms that build their green credentials.
Clare Sykes - NewH2 – The Hunter Hydrogen Technology Cluster
Clare Sykes, Cluster Manager for the Hunter Hydrogen Technology Cluster, will provide a presentation update on the new hydrogen industry initiative for the region, and how you can engage. NewH2 is part of a network of regional hydrogen technology clusters across Australia, as part of a drive to foster a multi-billion dollar, globally competitive hydrogen industry for Australia. The Hunter region was chosen as the geographic base for NSW’s Hydrogen Technology Cluster and aims to support the development of the hydrogen supply chain, reduce overlaps and identify gaps in the development, deployment and commercialisation of new hydrogen focused technologies.
