Join this event to explore regional perspectives on human-centric approaches to decarbonising in the new energy economy.

The NSW Decarbonisation Innovation Hub will present 2 sessions featuring academics, industry and government from across NSW, plus give an overview of Hub activity and make some exciting announcements!
Hear new perspectives and learn about the work happening in regional NSW to gain social license and drive decarbonisation with a panel discussion presented by the Powerfuels including Hydrogen Network and Electrification and Energy Systems Network: Regional challenges to human-centred net zero (including Q&A)
Then, take in a presentation from Annette Cowie, Senior Principal Research Scientist at the NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) on the Emissions Reduction Roadmap, developed in consultation with the Land and Primary Industries Network and focussing on abatement approaches that are consistent with sustainable agriculture
Annette’s research sits on the science-policy interface, supporting holistic responses to climate change, and sustainable land management. Her expertise includes sustainability assessment, life cycle assessment, greenhouse gas accounting for agriculture and forestry, soil carbon management and biochar science. Annette was a lead author in the IPCC’s Sixth Assessment Report and the IPCC Special report on Climate Change and Land.
