What is this event?
Held only a few times a year, this one-and-a-half-day workshop involves structured, scenario-based learning with Australian companies that have executed or are in the process of executing PPAs.
You will have the opportunity to learn from our Buyers Faculty - experienced people within buyer organisations across a wide range of sectors with in-depth PPA knowledge. Our Buyers Faculty provide real-world takeaways and perspectives on the challenges and opportunities of corporate renewable energy procurement that can only be accessed in a community of learning.
This course will allow you to ask those questions you haven’t yet asked in an open learning environment, and is an opportunity to build relationships with people in similar roles for ongoing support.

This course is suitable for energy buyers in corporate, local and state government and other institutions. The course is structure especially for:

This is a highly interactive training workshop that will cover 3 modules across one and a half days, and a choice of 2 streams.

- Deal structures & how to choose the best option for you.
- Social License and Best Practice.
Module 2: Building the deal
- Internal processes: Gaining internal support & approvals.
- How and when to engage consultants.
- Buyer's Groups.
- One-on-one time with experienced buyers.
- Ask a Retailer and Ask a Developer (Q&A session).
Module 3: Going to market (choice of 2 streams)
Retail PPAs (Stream 1)

- RFP & project selection.
Wholesale PPAs (Stream 2)
- Understanding risk & contract terms.
- Understanding project finance.
- Firming options.
