Orange Community Renewable Energy Park Virtual Open Day

Clean Energy Open day is an excellent opportunity for the Australian public to get up close to renewable energy generation.

Orange Community Renewable Energy Park

Open day location: Virtual event

Time: 10.00 am – 12.00 pm

Energy Democracy invites families across Australia, particularly in Central West NSW, to participate in our virtual event to celebrate renewable energy and sustainability in our local communities. Attendees can expect fun activities and opportunities to win prizes, as well as a variety of information sessions on project construction, battery and solar tracking technology, and landscaping plans.

There will be many opportunities to ask questions and chat to the team who is working on the soon to be constructed solar park on the north-western outskirts of Orange.

The Orange Community Renewable Energy Park (OCREP) is a 5 MW solar installation with 5 MWh battery that is being developed at 643 Mitchell Highway, Orange, NSW. Construction is planned to commence in 2022. The OCREP is the largest crowd-funded PV project in Australia featuring battery storage and technology and solar tracking mechanisms.

The project aims to support ongoing conversations with the community about the steps they can take contribute to our transition towards a clean energy future. To learn more about this project, please visit Energy Democracy's website.
