Bin Trim - Hunter Hospitality Network Program (Newcastle/Lake Mac City)
The Hunter Hospitality Circularity Network (the Network project) has been engaging hospitality businesses across the Hunter region to enhance their ability to evaluate and adopt circular solutions for their operations and supply chains, with a focus on reducing food waste and single-use items.
The upcoming stages of the Network project will further empower these networks to collaboratively identify and implement circular solutions that benefit from network efficiency and scale.
Join Go Circular and HJO for the second-round co-design workshop to:
- Explore the findings from the first-round Bin Trim assessment analysis.
- Discuss and enhance SME participation and engagement in the upcoming Round 2 assessments.
- Help identify clusters of businesses to be taken through the second round of Bin Trim assessments.
This project is a NSW Environment Protection Authority Waste and Sustainable Materials Strategy initiative, funded from the waste levy.
What is the Bin Trim program?
Bin Trim is Australia's largest business recycling program, having engaged over 38,000 businesses between 2014 and 2022, and diverting over 260,000 tonnes of waste from landfill. The Bin Trim Networks Program is designed to establish or enhance business circular economy networks where member businesses share commonalities in location, supply chain, industry sector, or specific waste materials. Projects emphasize waste avoidance and stimulating the circular economy, supporting financially viable, mutually beneficial solutions that increase efficiency.
