Bin Trim Circular Economy Manufacturing Pilot Workshop
The principal aim of the workshop is to identify existing recovery pathways for waste outputs within manufacturing and alternative material sources for manufacturing inputs that can replace virgin materials in other enterprises.
HunterNet have been awarded a Bin Trim pilot to:
- undertake Bin Trim assessments in the Manufacturing Sector in Hunter areas in accordance with the updated Bin Trim Roadmap
- extend Bin Trim assessments beyond the normal waste and recycling review and actions that encompass all circular economy actions to also review, and develop actions and support implementation to the top 5 (approximately) materials that come into a the businesses and packaging leaving the business
- tailor the assessment to the business’ priorities and needs to transition to a circular economy
- provide recommendations on how Bin Trim can be modified to support the targets outlined in the Waste and Sustainable Materials Strategy 2041 and the NSW Circular Economy Policy Statement

The workshop will be preceded by the Hunter and Central Coast Circular Economy Roadmap launch.
