Performance Twins in Mining & Metals
How to Move Beyond Predictive Analytics to Develop New Operational Efficiency Standards.
Mining and metals companies often fail to see the return on digital projects and equipment reliability initiatives. Battling resistance to change and trying to demonstrate value of digital solutions often loses to status quo. With production equipment, the challenge is centered around extracting meaningful insights from years of good and bad data from historians, work history logs, and condition monitoring systems.
In this presentation, we will share how companies like BHP, Aluminium of Greece, and Gerdau are using performance twin solutions to safely reduce unnecessary costs and improve production efficiency without uprooting the culture, relying solely on historical data, or taking months to implement. We will also be sharing:
- How Digital Twin models should be built, how to scale and implement these models on assets and systems to create a twin.
- Best practices for how to leverage these twins operationally to Predict, Prescribe and Forecast performance degradation as a part of your reliability work processes.
- How mining and metal companies like BHP, AoG, and Gerdau are scaling their digital twin initiatives to capture the full value of their asset performance manage solutions.
