NSW Government pledges $360 million to accelerating decarbonisation in industry
By working closely with the State's highest emitting industries, the NSW Government aim to create a thriving low carbon economy.
The NSW Government have launched a $360 million Net Zero Industry and Innovation Investment Plan, with the aim of accelerating the decarbonisation of the NSW manufacturing and mining sectors.
This investment will boost the State's ability to meet emissions reduction targets and help industry prosper during the shift to net zero.
Government funding available
The investment plan outlines the funding priorities for the next two years, including:
- $305 million to help high emitting manufacturing and mining facilities decarbonise. This funding is now available.
- $55 million to deliver clean manufacturing precincts in the Hunter and Illawarra regions, including supporting infrastructure and supply chains. This funding will be available in 2023.
