International Clean Innovation Researcher Networks grants closing soon
The $12.5 million open-competitive grants program will run over 4 years.
The Australian Government is establishing the International Clean Innovation Researcher Networks (ICIRN) grant program to support the development and implementation of international researcher networks focused on accelerating and collaborating on clean innovation.
The ICIRN will support Australian researchers to develop or deepen global connections, collaborate and participate in international clean innovation projects or initiatives such as:
- Mission Innovation
- Clean Energy Ministerial
- the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) Technology Collaboration Programs
- the Breakthrough Agenda.
The $12.5 million open-competitive grants program will run over 4 years. Grant amounts range from $200,000 to $3 million (representing up to 60 per cent of eligible project expenditure).
Networks may include one or more partners with whom Australia has an international clean energy partnership or focus on multilateral fora, such as Mission Innovation, the Clean Energy Ministerial, and the Global System Transformation Consortium. Applicants must demonstrate how their project will support Australian engagement internationally and accelerate clean innovation to support Australia’s emissions reductions target of net zero by 2050.
Applications close 25 May 2023.
