The Hunter New Energy Symposium (HNES) 2025 will take place at Newcastle City Hall on 21-22 May, bringing together key local and national players in the energy transition to focus on moving from discussion to real-world implementation of hydrogen, renewables, and emerging energy technologies.

The symposium will feature speakers from across industry, research, and government, including Craig Carmody (Port of Newcastle), Rod Henderson (Ampcontrol), Tim Buckley (Climate Energy Finance), Zane Williams (AGL), Dr Fiona Simon (Australian Hydrogen Council), and Heidi Lee (Beyond Zero Emissions).

Collaboration to Drive Change

A key theme this year is collaboration between sectors. With a mix of panel discussions, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities, the event is structured to encourage practical outcomes.

Exhibition and sponsorship opportunities remain open, providing businesses with a chance to connect with decision-makers in the sector.
