ARENA release tender for Australian Bioenergy Roadmap
The Roadmap will assess bioenergy barriers and opportunities and develop clear findings for Australian government and industry
A tender has been released by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) to engage a Service Provider to develop and deliver the Bioenergy Roadmap.
The objective of the Bioenergy Roadmap is to:
1. Develop a framework to assess opportunities where the bioenergy sector in Australia may have a competitive advantage;
2. Identify current barriers to the development of the bioenergy sector, through broad industry consultation and a review of existing studies; and
3. Provide clear findings for industry and government to drive commercial outcomes for the development of Australia’s bioenergy sector.
ARENA anticipates that the Bioenergy Roadmap will involve desktop research, review of existing literature, economic modelling and analysis and develop clear findings for government and industry. The Service Provider will be expected to consult with a wide range of stakeholders during the development of the Bioenergy Roadmap.
The Service Provider will be required to demonstrate its technical, regulatory and commercial expertise to successfully deliver the Bioenergy Roadmap in the response to the RFT (Response). ARENA supports individual Service Providers forming a consortium to ensure thorough coverage of the required expertise and capability. In this case, the Response must specify the legal entity proposed to deliver the Services and include a clear outline of the roles and responsibilities of each entity.
